PERROTTI’S PIZZA - A FORT WORTH STAPLE

The Perrotti's Origin Story

Richard Perrotti Junior got into the pizza business in Fort Worth in 1981 working at Dominoes and Pizza Hut. Junior wasn't a great student, and ironically for our location he was certainly not college-bound! He had been searching for the thing that would inspire a career. At that time, Richard Perrotti Senior was a hair-stylist at Neiman Marcus and would visit Junior at his job. Senior noticed how busy the pizza business was and soon the father-son team cooked up their first big pizza idea In 1986. Senior co-signed for Junior on his own pizza restaurant, thus Perrotti's Pizza was born. Our iconic logo was created by Junior's friend playfully sketching Richard Perrotti Senior, being sure to include his signature mustache! Junior sure knew a lot about pizza, but not a lot about business. Senior knew how to run a business and poured everything he knew into this venture with his son. Together they founded a Fort Worth brand that has lasted over 30 years.

When Perrotti's Pizza opened in 1986, all we served was pizza and Coca Cola. After 5 years of relatively flat sales, Richard Perrotti Srenior suggested we add in pasta dishes, like our famous lasagna, cheese sticks and salads since no one at that time was delivering those kinds of dishes in Fort Worth. Around 1991 Perrotti's began to take off after establishing a reputation for serving fresh ingredients AND never frozen dough! we're proud to serve the TCU students, faculty, staff and surrounding neighborhood.
